Are you an experienced Maternal and Child Health Nurse looking for flexibility? Southern Grampians Shire Council is seeking passionate, qualified professionals to join our casual pool.

Step in to support regional families when they need it most. This role offers excellent casual rates and the opportunity to work across our beautiful shire, helping local parents and children thrive.

The Maternal and Child Health Nurse will promote optimal wellbeing for children 0 - 6 years of age by developmental assessment and monitoring health, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing whilst providing an advisory, supportive, and educative primary health service to their families and caregivers. 

You will provide a comprehensive service to families through the implementation of the Maternal & Child Health Program and Enhanced Maternal & Child Health Service.

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced, qualified and a caring MCH Nurse, whilst working within the parameters of the Maternal & Child Health Program, and any other policy directions established by Council, or the Government.

Your background includes delivering inclusive strategies, policies and programming to enhance outcomes and provide positive access for children and families, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, vulnerable families and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.
